My womb creates and sustains life.
Hola! I’m Ivania. I am here to help you THRIVE during your Cuarentena, not just survive it.
For more than a decade, I have dedicated my work to supporting families through pregnancy, birth, and the sacred postpartum period as a traditional birth worker. My passion lies in preserving, sharing, and reclaiming the ancestral wisdom that has sustained our communities for generations, with a special focus on La Cuarentena (the first forty days after birthing your baby), and traditional Mesoamerican postpartum closing ceremonies.
As a Latina birth worker, educator, and community advocate, I believe that postpartum care is not a luxury, it is a vital rite of passage deserving of reverence, support, and collective care. Through my classes, ceremonies, and community offerings, I educate families on the importance of relearning and preserving these traditional practices. In a time when many cultural traditions are being challenged, overlooked, or disconnected from their roots, I am committed to helping our Latino community reconnect with the wisdom, healing, and resilience of our ancestors.
My work is deeply informed by both traditional knowledge and professional training. As a Licensed Massage Therapist and Sobadora, I offer bodywork that honors the physical, emotional, and spiritual transitions of the postpartum journey. My offerings include postpartum sobadas, lymphatic drainage massage, traditional postpartum closing ceremonies, and restorative bodywork designed to support healing, recovery, and re-connection.
I am honored to serve the Latino community, the broader BIPOC community, and fellow BIPOC birth workers who seek culturally affirming care rooted in tradition, respect, and ancestral remembrance. My intention is to create spaces where families feel seen, supported, and empowered to embrace postpartum as a sacred season of healing and transformation.
Through every class, ceremony, and healing session, I strive to keep these traditions alive, not only for ourselves, but for future generations who deserve to inherit the wisdom, strength, and cultural richness of those who came before us..
